Why are we Frustrated?

All frustrations come from ‘the lack of understanding’. It may be with respect to a particular situation or a person's behavior or choices. We get worried, rush things up and out of this nervousness conclude that it is not "going well." We should examine three questions that we ask ourselves at a time of unbearable frustration, just to cope with them and gain some level of clarity:

Why Is This Happening?

Whether you are running getting to an appointment, or your flight gets delayed or cancelled, you should recognize that there is something unforeseen going on there. People often get frustrated when a situation isn't going smoothly as they wanted. Never rush to conclusions without considering the whole situation. That directly leads to frustration.

What Is the Answer?

I'm certain you've tensely anticipated a significant telephone call, at the same time saying to yourself, "Why haven't they called back yet? What is taking so long? When are they going to call?" This is the simplest example of giving something too much of your energy. Being obsessed about a situation with needless chatter delays its progress. If you try thinking less about such minor things, that may reduce your anxieties and frustrating and keep your mood under control.

Where Is This Going?

Life is a process. Trust it. The everyday and holy things that are happening in your life may appear unrelated on the surface, but in reality, there is an orchestrated, interlocking chain of events occurring. The human in us always wants to know what is going on and why, but we don't always need to know! Even during moments of major upheaval and turmoil, you have to understand that it is a necessary part of the process, and after the dust settles, the gift will reveal itself.

Frustration knocks at the moment we let our anxieties, fears, and anger takes power. We need to understand and grasp the fact that we can never control everything. Things which happen which you will not like. And you just will have to deal with them. You can approach Living In Wellbeing in case you need any help dealing with such issues.
