If you want to be happy in life, it is recommendable that you be yourself in all time. People make mistakes of trying to be what they are not or living an inauthentic life. If you are a sanguine by nature for example, and you want to live like a phlegmatic, you will make a mistake in life and this can cause depression and sadness.

Live within your means

The financial capacity of everybody is not the same. The worse thing that will happen to you is to live above your financial capacity. This will make you to go about borrowing. You will remain in debts for the rest of your life. Being in debts especially beyond what one can pay brings sadness, unrest of the mind and depression. Know your financial power and live within that. Buy things that you can pay for. Do not buy anything on credit if you do not have any means of paying back. This will make you to remain in debt in life and thus sad for the rest of your life.

Make out time for relaxation

Try to have time for relaxation. When you are worked up or when you are not in good spirit, you can do yourself some good by playing some music or watching some movies. This will help you to keep your mind off your problems and help you to relax your mind for some time. You can also engage in some recreational activities like swimming, doing some workouts and others. Some people have never gone on holidays before. It is important that you go on holiday if you want to be happy. Visit places of interest that you have not been in life. This will add to your experience and will help to increase your happiness in life.

Cultivate the habit of making friends

It is good to have friends. If you have good friends in life, they will be a source of inspiration during difficult moments. But if you have no friends, you will not have any person to confide in when things are not moving the way you want. This will make you be sadder in life.
