Dryness of mouth, eyes and the vagina is common in those who have lupus. The dryness is actually due to the gland problem caused as a result of lupus. Tear glands do not produce tears. Saliva too is not produced in the right way.

Hair loss

The inflammation in the scalp in lupus affected people will result in hair loss. This is called lupus hair. Hair either loses in clumps or it simply thins up. This is the same case with the hair in the beard, eyelashes, eyebrows and body hair. Hair breaks up fast since it loses its previous original strength. Hair loss can be treated, but sometimes it becomes permanent as a result of the lesions found on the skin where the hair grows.

Nephritis

The symptom of the condition called Nephritis is inflammation of the kidneys. As kidneys play a major role in the body, the problems of the kidney are very high. When inflammation happens in the kidneys, the wastes as well as the toxins in the body are not filtered. Early symptoms are not noticed at all. But the frequent urination during night hours as well as the traces of blood in urine has to be taken into account and checked immediately without any fail. High blood pressure and swelling of the feet are the other symptoms of Nephritis.

Breathlessness
