This is because of the very healthy tannins that exist in red wine. You should always keep your alcohol intake as low as possible, however. You can find health benefits by drinking a little wine. Lots of wine can be hurtful. Alcohol hurts your liver and other parts of your body as well. Drinking too much can hurt you in lots of ways. So keep your drinking to a minimum to make sure you remain healthy.

There are many options for staying healthy. They do not all involve running miles on end or eating nothing but raw veggies.
