Doing Internet Business Successfully

In this day and time, a lot of people want to start an internet business. And there is certainly nothing wrong with that. There are all sorts of opportunities for success.

There are so many ways to make money on the internet. You can sell your stuff, sell other peoples stuff and make commissions, take surveys for gifts and cash and even play games for cash; just to name a few.

Even though a lot of different things play into ones success in making money on the internet, let me offer two ingredients for success that I feel are important in doing your internet business.

Tip #1: Put Your Pants on Everyday and Show Up for Work

Even though part of the beauty of having an internet business is being able to work from home you still have to show up and do the things you need to do to make your business successful.

I was listening to some sports casters on the radio the other day and they were discussing the type players they would rather have on their team. And the consensus was that the players who put their pants on and showed up for every practice and every game and just grind away were really the reason for a teams' success. Those were the players that continued to give their all through pain from injuries, disappointments and the cycles of ups and downs.

The same is true with your internet business. You have to put your pants on and show up every day. You have to continue to grind away at your goals through ups and downs and disappointments. And only then will you make it to the super bowl of doing internet business successfully.

Tip #2: Read Your Emails last.

I learned along time ago that my internet business needs to come first. At one point I realized that I was spending two or three hours a day reading my emails, looking at other marketers product offers (and often times buying them) and then by the time I got around to doing tasks for my own business I had wasted away my freshest most productive hours.

I soon realized that I needed to reverse that process and put reading my emails last on my list for the day. By doing this I found that since I was tired, I wasted less time reading other people's offers and wasted less money buying e-books that I really did not have time to read.

I would also suggest that you find a few select marketers that you like and unsubscribe from everyone else mailing list. Because, you will soon come to realize that you are reading several emails offering the same product. You don't know this from the subject line, so you waste valuable time opening and scanning the email.

Summary:

It is your business to make or break. It can’t succeed if you don’t show up and do the things you need to do, even if that is just a ten steps down the hall commute.
