A healthy diet is essential to achieve a healthy lifestyle. We should take nutritional supplements on a regular basis to support our body. It is  not only  important for women who are struggling with hormonal changes, but also who are facing job stress. These job stress is common these days, but as a woman we have to take care of  these small obstructions to give our family an optimal health. Taking these kind of essential supplements not only improve a total well being but also help in preventing various life threatening diseases. Along with all these supplements we should take a balanced diet and some sort of exercises to bring a maximal function in our body.

Nutritional supplements should include

Iron
This is mainly found in hemoglobin. This helps to deliver oxygen throughout the body. It also helps to maintain a balanced energy level. Nowadays it is a common problem among adolescent girls to have anemic disease due to heavy blood loss. In this case iron supplement plays a main role in giving a healthy functioning of the body. For this, girls should take around 18 mg of iron per day. But for the pregnant women the rate should be increased a little they should take 27 mg per day. In case of post menopausal women the rate should be decreased a little, that is around 8mg per day. But before taking all these you should consult your doctor.

Omega 3 Fatty Acid
Usually we use the word “fat” as a synonym for unhealthy body. But omega 3 is an exception for this. It always works hard to make our heart healthy along with this it tries to reduce our triglyceride levels. It also works to reduce menstrual cramps. Women who are suffering from dysmenorrhea and increased triglyceride levels can take capsulated fish oil as a treatment option. Its recommended amount is 1.1mg per day.

Calcium
We all know that calcium promotes bone growth. Women are more prone to develop a calcium deficiency disease like osteoporosis. Its chance is around 4 times more in women. Researches also explain about its contribution to reduce breast cancer and premenstrual symptoms. It is about 1000mg for pre-menopausal women and 1200 mg for post menopausal women. Special care to be taken that not more than 500mg should be taken at a time.

Folic Acid
Folic acid belongs to the B complex vitamin group. It helps to prevent neural tube defects in children. It also helps to reduce the level of homocysteine, this is an amino acid which can be closely linked to stroke, cardiovascular disease and dementia. A normal woman should take 400mcg per day and pregnant women should take 800 mg per day.

Vitamin D
It is considered as one the important vitamin which helps to make our bone strong. It is converted to Calciferol in the liver and kidney. It also helps in absorbing calcium from the food we eat. It is a fat soluble vitamin which helps to prevent osteoporosis. Women under 50 years should take 400 IU per day and women above 51 should take 600 IU.

Vitamin C
Vitamin C is considered as an excellent anti-oxidant. It also helps in boosting up the immunity. It also helps in increasing collagen production, which is essential for a healthy glowing skin. It also helps to destroy free radicals.

So I want to conclude that whether you are 15 or 50 you have to take adequate supplements as a part of your daily routine. This is not only for you, but also for giving a heavenly life for those who are with, behind and in front of you.
