Do You Want a Good Life or a Great Life?

How do you learn to move out of your own way? Learning to dream again and moving your life in the direction that you would like it to go.

As a speaker, trainer, business mentor and home-based business owner people tell me quite often that they would like to do this or that, if only they had the time, the money, the education, or the know how. My question to them is always, do you want a good life or do you want a great life? You cannot have both.

Having a good life, in my opinion, means that you have food on the table, a warm place to live, and enough money to get by on. Having a great life means that you are living your dreams, doing being and having what you want. Living a great life not only affords you an awesome life but it also allows for you to be of service to others with both your time and your finances. I believe that we were all put on this earth to live a great life. Of course the meaning of "your great life" will be different from mine and from everyone else's. But it is your great life and that is what it is all about. Using your talents and abilities to the best, for yourself and those around you. Serving the world from a place of abundance and prosperity. Using the eternal universal principals of honesty, integrity, kindness, forgiveness, courage, work ethic, spirituality, charity, love, humility, and faith we can all make the world a better place.

When you think about it how does a caterpillar become a butterfly? This can only happen by his wanting to fly so much that he is willing to give up being a caterpillar. That is the key to becoming a different you too. You must be willing to give up the old "stuff" that keeps holding you back. You must want to change more than you like the comfort and familiarity of what you have right now.

If you want a great life I urge you to find small increments of time in your daily life to make the changes necessary to become or have what you desire. When we multiply tiny pieces of time with daily effort we too will find that we can accomplish magnificent things.
