Damaged your hair beyond repair? Has winter caused your hair to be dry and brittle? There are numerous products available for restoring this problem. However, does that super moisture charged conditioner with proteins absorb to the soul of your hair. By soul I mean the hair follicle, the root. These conditioners and oil treatments are great for mending the over processing and outside pollutants our hair endures. As any other living thing, our hair needs it's nourishment. How do we "nourish" our hair? From the inside! Your hair follicle needs nourishment to grow strong and healthy. We water plants and they absorb their nourishment from the root. Same goes for your hair.

You have to "water" your hair for it to grow. Just like your body, your hair needs hydration. Dehydration in your body means the same for your hair. Water is not directly linked to the actual growth of your hair, but the all over health of your body. Dehydration to the body can cause the hair to appear more dry and dull and actually stunt the growth of your hair as it is not getting the nutrition water provides. Drink your eight glasses of water a day and not only will you be doing good for your body, but you will be providing your hair with nourishment.

I was taught in cosmetology school that what we put into our bodies will eventually appear on the outside. Don't you feel this to be true. Have you ever had a day where you've eaten nothing but junk and greasy foods? Do you notice your skin feeling greasy and dull from it? It's true. Your skin and hair react to the nutrients you put in your body. If you have a poor diet your skin will appear dull and probably have a few blemishes. Same with your hair. It will not have the ability to grow healthy and strong as it would if you've got a healthy daily meal plan. Eat your veggies and your fruits to provide your inner hair with the vitamins it needs. Your body best absorbs it's vitamins through food.

If you have your excuses as to why you don't have a healthy meal plan, I'm guilty of this, then at least take your vitamins. Taking your vitamins every day will not only benefit the well being of your body, but also the well being of your hair. There are certain vitamins our hair requires to be healthy. Vitamins such as Folic Acid, Biotin, Niacin, A, C, & E all play significant roles in the healthy growth of our hair. Lack of any of these vitamins will stunt the health and natural growth of your hair.

Work out! As water, a healthy diet, and vitamins all aid in the healthy growth of our hair so does exercising. Exercise has many benefits to our bodies, minds and souls. It can be used as a great stress relief as well. I don't see any down side to exercise. Quit with the excuses or the plain laziness and do something great for your body. Even if it's only a few days a week for, oh, thirty minutes, it's better than none at all.

Beauty rest isn't called that just because. It really does mean what it says. The lack of rest can affect the chemical balances in our body. Chemical balances in our bodies controls everything including hair. Make it a point to get at least seven to eight hours of rest a night.

Drink plenty of water. Eat your veggies. Take your vitamins. Get some rest and for goodness sake, exercise! You follow these guidelines, not only will you be doing great things for your hair, but your mind and body. Every where you hear that diet and exercise are the key to weight loss. I'm going to preach it to. Don't feel sorry for yourself because you don't have that beautiful luxurious hair that "she" has. Take the steps that you now know and utilize them. I can guarantee a change in your lifestyle can result in a positive change in your hair.
