In taking everlasting career path

career

Deciding on the career path to follow has been vague among youths especially when there is lack of adequate guidance and counselling unit to guide them based of the talents, interests, skills, work-related values, personality and hobby. From my own perspective, career should be strengthening along ones hobby and talents, choose one that is related to what you enjoyed doing in your spare time, if you so desire. In addition people tend to become very skilled in their hobbies, even though most of the skill is gained informally. You may be surprised at how you can fit your passions into a certain career!

A Career Action Plan is a road map that takes you from choosing a career to becoming employed in that occupation to reaching your long-term career goals. It is a continuous process that transform from one stage before it can be properly visualized in the ones mind which require time and expert advice.
At first choose a simple career and subsequently add to it. For instance, choose a career as an IT guru is too complex if not unrealizable rather specializing as website developer and subsequently extended your skill in desktop application development as a software developer, acquaintance with these skills will make you IT guru.
To finalize your decision on life achieving issue, it is very important to choose the best careers that will sustain you. Demand for certain skills are affected with the trends of time and economic activities going on in the nation. So, looking ahead of demand in labour market will guide one in building longtime sustaining career. Making cool cash out of your career is one of the factors to put into consideration. Research has shown that money does not necessarily lead to job satisfaction however; you should consider earnings, among other things, when evaluating an occupation to keep your body and soul together. Success of someone in a field those not guarantee you success, never venture into a career because you have relatives that are doing great on the job rather what works for one person might not necessarily work for another.
It won’t be enough to just decide on your career path, more home works needs to be done. You should begin to gather information about these careers which will include a job description, outlook for the field (will you be able to find a job), and required training and education. When you have narrowed down your choices to just a few, then you should investigate even further, perhaps conducting some informational interviews with those working in the field. You can now make a guided decision about what career to pursue.
If you are unsatisfied in your career for any reason, you can always change it. Even in good company many people change careers several times over the course of their lifetimes. I viewed moving from one career to another as diversification of skills which gives one an edge over others. You can take them from one job to another and your skills are yours to keep. Changing careers does require a substantial time investment. However, remember that it does not happen all at once. If you have worked for a number of years, you may feel that you have put too much time and effort into your career to change midstream. Or you may be concerned about retirement and health benefits. However, the more you have worked, the more likely you are to have skills you can transfer to a new career. You may also consider planning a transition for after retirement if you are close to receiving a pension or other benefits after a number of years.
If you sit down and map out a rough plan of attack, breaking down larger tasks into smaller ones, it is a lot more manageable than you think. And if the payoff is a happier, the more successful career you get.
To be successful in your endeavour passion and interest must be attached. Make career shaping a lifelong activity you will need to learn and grow along the path throughout your lifetime. Accept and embrace change so that you are proactively positioned for ongoing success.
