Words of gratitude will help you to cope, make you happier and give you a greater sense of purpose.
People who are grateful are less depressed, and less stressed, they even sleep better.
But most of all, it makes sure the good things in your life, keep turning up.
It all comes down to Cause and Effect.
Your thoughts are the Cause, your reality the Effect.
If you are not getting what you want in life, you may be living your life in reaction.
You see, so many people live their lives by default, they don’t consciously create their reality, they react to it.
They concentrate on it, deal with it, fight it and ultimately, as their thought energy is ‘spent’ on it, they end up attracting the same reality.
We are consistently being told that to change our reality, we must change our thoughts.
A seemingly impossible, task for many.
How can you Not Think About ‘not enough’ money, when there are bills to pay….
How can you Think About ‘perfect health’, when you are being treated for some illness…
For many people, even if they understand the principle of thought creation, they just can’t switch off their ‘Brain Chatter’.
So why are using words of gratitude linked so strongly to the Law of Attraction?
If we accept that out thoughts create our reality, then surely an attitude of gratitude, for what we are pleased for in our lives, will only serve to create more of the same.
Thoughts of gratitude for the good things in our experiences will manifest more good things to feel grateful for.
Even if you are not thoroughly convinced on ‘How the Law of Attraction works’, you cannot fail to understand that expressing gratitude, can only serve you in a positive way.
Words of gratitude can even be used to increase business…..
One such experiment found that customers of a jewellery store who were called and thanked for their custom, showed a 70% increase in purchases.
In comparison, customers who were thanked and told about a sale showed only a 30% increase in purchases, and customers who were not called at all did not show an increase.
In another study, regular patrons of a restaurant gave bigger tips when servers wrote “Thank you” on their checks.
So How Can Gratitude Help You?
Writing down words of gratitude, will switch your thought to the good things in your life, and as your thoughts are the Cause, the only Effect there can be, is more good things to be grateful for.
Whenever you find yourself in ‘Brain Chatter’, about your fears and worries, read out your Words of Gratitude List.
In this way, you may not be controlling your thoughts, but you will be switching your focus to the things you want, rather than the things you don’t want.
