The need is there. You are either too fat or too skinny. You want to look good and be attractive. Therefore, Body Building is for you.
What Should You Do, Before You Begin?
Before you start any fitness program, you need to see your Doctor. If necessary, have the doctor perform a complete physical examination. If you have high blood pressure and heart disease, you doctor may give you recommendations to prevent an injury. Your doctor will inform you; whether, your body is fit enough to commence a fitness program.
Next, you need to set a goal. What do you want to accomplish? How much weight do you want to lose? By setting a goal, you have a reason to start and continue your fitness program.
How Can You Begin Body Building?
You need to select a fitness center. Preferably, the fitness center has to be close to your home or work. You can workout before your job, at lunch or in the evening.
At the fitness center, you need to have a trainer show you the equipment. In Body Building, the right form and technique is important. You don’t wish to be injured by the machines.
Start Off with a very light weight. You need to practice the proper form and technique. Begin by doing one repetition (rep) of ten to twelve lifts. Once you have established the proper form and technique, you may add more weights and repetitions.
With the fitness center, you can meet new people just like you. The fitness center should have information on upcoming events and fun runs, you can go to. Your fitness program can be fun, too.
What Else Ought You Consider?
You need to commit to a full body workout. You want to build up your body and have it look good. Do the required exercises and you will see the difference.
Your body needs to rest and recover. So, you need to allow a full day between workouts. The muscles develop, when your body is resting.
What about Food?
You body requires to be fueled up for your workout. Don’t do your Body Building exercises on an empty stomach. You want to focus on your workout.
You could drink protein shakes: before, during and after your workouts. The body requires protein, and shakes are not too heavy for weight lifting. You may mix blueberries and strawberries for a delicious shake.
Finally, you need to eat regularly. Many Body Builders consume six small meals a day, spaced every two to three hours apart. This way, you are never hungry. By eating regularly, your body is fueled and your muscles are developing.
Can You Do Body Building At Home?
Many Body Builders work out at home. There’s no crowd to deal with or a wait in line to use a machine. You don’t have to go to and from the gym.
At home, you could work out when you need to. You can watch the television, while you are lifting weights. You can make your workout a family affair.
What Equipment Do You Need At Home?
In the beginning, you can start out with free weights including the dumbbell and barbell sets. You will also need an adjustable bench with leg/curl extensions.
Start out with this minimal equipment. You want to make sure that you are sticking with the program. Over the long term, you can buy more equipment.
How Should Your Training Proceed?
For Body Building, you need to train three times a week. Agree to a full day between workouts. This will allow your body to rest and recover.
Proceed Slowly. Increase your weights gradually – no more than ten per cent. A sharp increase in weights can cause an injury.
Work Your Repetitions. Try doing three sets of repetitions on fifteen, thirteen, and eleven reps. You need to do the most that you may do. You can try to reach the failure level and achieve an efficient workout.
Eat well the day before you exercise. Take some carbohydrates (rice, quinoa, etc.) and a protein shake, before you workout. Do not try your Body Building exercises on an empty stomach.
