Astrology is the study of patterns and relationships of planets in motion, our birth chart, the making up of elements and using that knowledge as a tool for finding the meaning. Astrology comes more in the metaphysics category, the study of which is beyond the physical. It more or less resembles to other fields that are founded on ancient theories of energy patterns such as acupuncture, yoga and feng shui. At a great level, astrology is considered to be a mastery of its particular science and the instinctive arts. Since many years ago, it was also termed as ‘Mother of all Sciences’.

Astrology can provide us insight into all manner of situations, from personal to social life. As Indian astrologers, usually incorporate a holistic view of the world, it can be seen that there is a spiritual connection between all things including the stars, planets and humans.

Vedic Astrology Vedic astrology, generally, is the study of positions of heavenly bodies such as Sun, Moon, Mars etc., with respect to the zodiac and the understanding of the effect of such heavenly bodies on the events in earth in the life of an individual or a country or the whole world. It’s known as Vedic astrology, as the principles on which the understanding and study are made were first specified in the Vedas- the foremost treatise of ancient Hindu philosophy.

Heavenly Bodies Influencing the events on earth Sun, mars, Moon, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu all termed as planets, emerge to revolve around the earth continuously while forever staying within the limits of zodiac. In the ancient text, Vedic astrology had identified these 9 entities; out of which the Sun is known to be a star, Moon is the satellite of earth, Rahu and Ketu are two mathematical points on the zodiac and the rest are supposed to be planets. Modern Vedic astrologers also take into consideration the effect of distant planets like Neptune, Uranus and Pluto.

Zodiac Signs When the zodiac gets divided into 12 equal parts each having a span of 30 degrees arc, then each of this arc is known as zodiac sign. A sign, thus, would consist of 2¼ groups of stars. A specific group of stars known as Ashwini, in the zodiac is considered the starting the point of the zodiac and is referred to as the star no 1. Likewise, there is individual name for the 26 group of stars.

Astrology is an unbelievable tool of self discovery, no matter how far you decide to take it. At first, the pieces of the puzzle might not seem to fit. However, if you stick with it, at a certain point it ‘clicks’ and the orchestrations of the cosmic dance make sense. If meaningless events surround your life, astrology can be a comforting sign that maybe things happen for a reason. It can put light on inner contradictions and natural strengths.

Astrology can be mysterious at first, due to the involvement of a different kind of wisdom. However, there are efficient Indian astrologers who have years of experience and understand astrology from its root. Even the Vedic astrologers have a deep knowledge of the whereabouts of astrology and can help people out to know this type of astrology in deep.

This article is written by Mr. John, as he has a good knowledge about Indian astrologers and astrology. He had several interactions with the Vedic astrologers as well and has gone deeply with the interpretations about the stars, planets and zodiac that are an integral part of astrology.
